After my recent trip to the Rachel Whiteread exhibition at Tate, i have become slightly fascinated by plaster, and so thought it was only right to have a play with some myself. I have started with some very simple casts of fabric, in which i constructed some basic fabric 'sacks' which i could hang and fill with plaster, and then also cast some of my experiments of welding and stitch from last week. I am actually really pleased with some of the results and will definitely deve

I have started to develop the samples that I did for the T-Shirt project into something that I could use in a 3D form. Our challenge was to think about the research we have done so far for our written work and explain that within one T-shirt design. We are half way through the challenge and i have chose to work with a quote i found in 'a book, Old Mistress' , i have been reading, that i think complete

This week after a meeting with my project supervisor, i realised that i was really stuck in a rut with my work. I have been working in one way for so long its like i dont know how to work in any other way. I so want to free myself up to experiment with other things (and i used to be so good at that!), but leaving my comfort zone has been harder than i thought! So she has put me on a 'Soft' and 'Red' ban! To start with i was really nervous but i totally think it is the right t
