This is a redevelopment of the very basic pewter cast of rope i did last semester. I wanted to try and confuse the hard/soft contrast in my work in a different way, transforming something that was created soft into something that is hard. Aesthetically i feel these are quite interesting, however verging on slightly jewellery like which i feel is not something i am after. I do however like the scale and tactility of them, you can't help but pick them up and give them a feel. T
Here are some more hanging pieces i tried, which i feel are much too bodily. They are obviously referencing blood and innards which i feel is something i don't want to do in this particular project. I feel the more subtle reference to the body is visually more interesting... so i will not be continuing with these. After reviewing how last year went i have decided to limit myself to select materials to avoid doing evverryyyttthhiinngg all at once. So i have decide to just use wax, metals and textiles... so here are some initial wax experiments to kick the second year off.
