All ready for tomorrow! Martin Hall Exhibition Space now feels like your visiting your grandmas living room, overwhelmed by floral fabric. In this interactive performance the audience will be invited to simply 'sit and have a minute' observing, have a nosey at some of my key research texts, or join me in cutting out flowers, as I snip apart the domestic environment. The space will transform throughout the week, so it's definitely one to keep an eye on. #CutFlowers3 #Perform

I really enjoyed the exhibition, and although the last couple of days where tough I feel like I have got so much out of it, and I'm excited for the future of the 'Cut Flowers' project. Cant wait until i have a bit more free time to be able to reflect properly on what happened over the last 10 days. Development of the compressed flowers idea. (forced into a vac form dome) I feel like on mass, or as a large series these could work really well. Could this be the next stage to the performance? After finishing the cutting and the tidying/sorting of the flowers, could i force them into new forms? What if i were to make different shaped vac form moulds? I will explore this in the future. #Cut #Compress #Fabric #Flowers

Highlights from last nights performance. It went really well, and after I got over my initial nerves I really started to enjoy performing. It didn't really feel like performing, more like just making with an audience. Or like i was a moving sculpture. Making has always been something I have done in private and so its interesting to have that part of the process watched. (The making becomes the 'finished' work). Things that were unexpected/need to think about: People where muc

    'Uncanny Alley' Exhibition!

Come and see my first ever performance art piece tomorrow at Wharf Chambers in Leeds, from 5pm-10pm. 'Cut Flowers' will be shown as part of 'Uncanny Alley', a exhibition by Now Curation, which will explore how disjointed domestic spaces and the familiar home environment can be perverted to produce grotesque results. #Exhibition #UncannyAlley #NowCuration
