'Cut Flowers' will be shown as part of 'Uncanny Alley', a exhibition by Now Curation, which will explore how disjointed domestic spaces and the familiar home environment...

Another short performance piece i tried.
Not sure about the cutting off of the dress thought.
Although i think visually the images are interesting as photos (these are screen shots from a video), i am not sure if the work reads differently to what i would like.

Finally had a go at filming myself doing the cutting.
I filmed for 1 hour, and i very quickly realised that it definitely had to be a performance piece.
The piece needed to last a long time, to show the hours it takes to meticulously cut these flowers out!

What do i do with all these hundreds of flowers i have cut out?
I love the density of them. The way that something so delicate when compressed together can become quite solid, yet still remain fragile enough that if feels like it could fall apart at any moment....
